  • Carbonite.com

This software provides a great back up service for your documents including photographs, emails, address book, and favorites.  Backups are done in the background and does not slow down your computer.  Easy to configure along with great support.  --Don Lowe

  • Recommended Books

Ken Johnson mentioned at the meeting on 1/16/10 about a series of excellent photography books that are shown at www.photoworkshop.com/books.  They can be purchased on that website.  You can also find them at Borders, Barnes & Noble, or Amazon.

  • ON eBay - As shown at meeting by Dustie Meads

Updated - Search on Ebay for:  Aluminum ballhead monopod 68" for camera free shipping or item number 220373202281 - The Seller is Selina1900

If anyone wants one but don't feel safe buying on Ebay, you can mail me 33.00 and I'll buy it for you.  Keep in mind though, it is coming from China and anytime something is ordered internationally, there's a small chance it may not arrive in a timely manner and a very slim chance it may not arrive at all.   I've never not had something arrive, but it is possible.  I'll be glad to order for you, but the risk, is yours should something go amiss. --Dustie Meads

  • Good Resource

11/7/09 - Here is a good resource that has a lot of useful information, especially in the General Discussion area (www.apug.org/forums/forum13/). Provided by Kris Johnson

  • Learn more about Composition

9/4/09 - I recommend an excellent DVD on composition by Tim Cooper (www.timcooperphotography.com/store.php). I found it very beneficial. There are a lot of technical DVD's and books, but few on composition. Provided by Don Lowe

  • Photographic Society of America (PSA)

9/4/009 - I recently joined PSA and am enjoying the benefits. They have experts that will evaluate your photos. You pick the category such as architecture, portraits, & etc. Then email your picture. They are fast at replying. This helps you prepare your photo before bringing it to the club. The PSA membership is much more than a monthly magazine so consider joining (www.psa-photo.org).
